Common questions about working with us
Our diagnostic phase is a fixed fee that ranges from £1,500 to £3,000, depending on the size of your company and the complexity of the issue. That covers two to three days of interviews, data analysis and a written report with prioritised recommendations.
If you decide to move into the implementation phase, we charge on a weekly basis. Rates typically fall between £1,200 and £2,400 per week, again depending on scope. We agree the total budget and timeline before any implementation work starts, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
The diagnostic takes two to three days. Implementation runs six to twelve weeks for most projects. A straightforward cash flow review might wrap up in six weeks, while a full operational restructure for a 50-person company usually needs the full twelve.
Some clients choose to continue with quarterly follow-up sessions after the main engagement ends. Those sessions last half a day each and cost a flat rate.
Yes. We are based in England but regularly work with clients in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. About a third of our engagements are fully remote, using video calls and shared documents. For on-site work outside England, we add travel costs at actual expense with no mark-up.
Most of our work falls into four sectors: professional services (law firms, accountancies, recruitment agencies), retail and e-commerce, logistics and distribution, and construction. That said, the frameworks we use for strategy, financial performance and operational improvement apply broadly. If your company has between 10 and 250 employees and a growth problem you can describe in concrete terms, we can probably help.
It lasts about 30 minutes. We ask you to describe the challenge in your own words, then we ask follow-up questions about revenue, team structure, timeline and what you have already tried. By the end of the call, we will tell you honestly whether we think we can help and, if so, what the next step looks like. There is no obligation, no hard sell.
Absolutely. We are happy to sign your NDA before the first call if you prefer. Confidentiality is standard practice for us; we never share client data, financials or strategies with anyone outside the engagement team.
At the start of every engagement we agree on two to four specific metrics: revenue growth percentage, cost reduction in pounds, debtor days, employee retention rate or whatever is most relevant. We record the baseline during the diagnostic and measure again at the end of implementation. The final report compares the two numbers directly.
Yes, and we often do. Many of our clients already have an accountant, solicitor or marketing agency. We coordinate with them rather than duplicating their work. In practice that means sharing relevant findings, attending joint calls when useful and staying in our lane. Clear scope boundaries avoid confusion and keep costs down.
We cannot guarantee specific outcomes because every business operates in a different market with different constraints. What we can guarantee is the process: a thorough diagnostic, a clear plan, and hands-on support during implementation. If at any weekly check-in we are not on track, we adjust the approach immediately. In the rare cases where a client has been dissatisfied, we have extended the engagement at no extra cost to reach the agreed targets.
